Have a seat.........

Funny how furniture can remind you of an era or of someone special.

After my grandmother died I was offered her old chairs.  I probably wouldn't have bought them off the show room floor but they were hers, and that's why they still sit in my family room today.  I remember sitting in them, chatting with her about life experiences, munching on Bugles & diet coke and hoping for one of her pearls of wisdom to take away with me.

After years, I finally decided to bid fair well to the original bee crest print,  I sent the cushions off to one of my favorite stores in Seattle, Red Ticking.  Pam, the owner and a dear friend, understood my attachment to them and she helped me pick out the perfect fabric.  They turned out beautiful!   I heart you Pam!

Thought you might like to see the the transformation of my new beauties!

I'd love to hear about your family treasures......

Happy Monday!

  1. they are fantastic and so are you sweet megan... so glad you are happy...

  2. Megan...they're wonderful! Pam did a beautiful job bringing them forward in time a bit, yet keeping them classic. I think a celebration with Bugles (love em) and diet coke is in order. ;)
