Rain, Rain go away.....

It's been raining here non-stop!  Sadly, it seems summer will never arrive.

Here are a few images I've taken of summers past.

Enjoy!

The Scoop on the Coop

Ok, I just couldn't wait to show off the new coop.  My husband and I've been looking for one(that wasn't an eye sore for awhile now) and here's what we came up with.  http://chickengardener.com/

I plan on planting a jasmine vine and some flowers around it soon.

The "girls" are setteling in to their new digs just fine.
Tonight is night 3 that they're outside.  It was the first night they went inside the coop by themselvs.  As any mama knows, I'm having a little seperation anxiety.

This chicken stuff is all new to me so any tips you can send my way are greatly appreciated!

Happy weekend!!!

Hello from the Farm...

Don't know what's gotten into me these days but I'm starting to think I'm more of a farm girl than a city slicker.

It all started with the veggie garden this spring...

Next came the chicks....

Then came the flowers...

See y'all at the Farm Chicks Show!

Charmed by Charleston

I'm just coming off my vacation buzz from a visit to beautiful Charleston, South Carolina.
I'd never been there before and let me tell y'all...what an amazing town!

Beautiful beachs at Wild Dunes resort

Oak trees with spanish moss

Boons plantation where the movie "The Notebook" was filmed

It all started when my sweet husband(who travels way to much) had a brilliant idea.
He had several business trips scheduled in SC and Florida over a couple weeks. Instead of flying home for the weekend and then turning right around to fly back, he suggested we meet in SC for a little vaca, just the two of us.  Thanks to some wonderful friends(you know who you are) and some serious schedule juggling.... we did it!

I can't remember the last time we had so much fun!

A little thanks!

I've always loved giving gifts.

I must have acquired this trait from my mom, she's truly the worlds most
generous woman.

This week is "Teacher appreciation" week.
Thankfully, this year all my kids have the most wonderful, dedicated
teachers!

Wish I could have sent each one of them on an all expense paid trip to Maui as a thank you...

They got these instead.

Do people still say,"it's the thought that counts" anymore???

To all the teachers out there.....

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
