A Garden's bounty

Where has the time's gone?   I discovered Pinterest.....need I say more?
In addition to my new Pinterest obsession, I spent much of the summer traveling and entertaining family and friends.  I also took LOTS of photos, and amidst all the coming and going, I tended to our garden.
We had tomatoes, beets, herbs, a few artichokes, and some flowers.

This afternoon, I was going through my summer pictures and was reminded of how blessed we are to live in such a beautiful place.
By February I'm sure we'll all be chomping at the bit to get a little vitamin D and some warm sunshine.
PLEASE, someone remind me around March, with out all the rain, our city wouldn't be as pretty, nor would our gardens and soil be as fertile....

Funny, gardens and people aren't unalike....The most beautiful ones have weathered a few storms.  Hope you had a great summer.
It's good to be back, missed you all!

  1. Dear Megan,
oh, so nice to hear from you, again! :)
What a beautiful post! I`m in love with your photos and your garden flowers...really *eden on earth*!

I discovered Pinterest a while ago, but I couldn`t really find out, how to become a member.
Unfortunately I didn`t understand what to do....but it`s always a pleasure looking thru this site.

Have a wonderful october! We had a fantastic late summer sunshine here in germany, but today is the very beginning of autumn....it`s cloudy and rainy.

  2. Hi Beate,
I'm so happy to hear from you. I've missed your blog and I'm heading there after I finish this comment! We also had the late arrival of summer but September was beautiful.
    Happy Fall to you!

  4. Hi Megan...I've had a rash of comments I've left disappearing into the ether and the one I left here for you seems to be one of them...so frustrating!
I don't know if I can be as brilliant as the first time round...but in a nutshell, I'm so happy to see you back, and *love* all of your images...the glassybabies look so pretty all grouped together like that and it's wonderful that your garden did so great considering that we had such a choppy summer.
Also..I'll remind you about how pretty it can be here, and please, do the same for me...January's my least favorite, no holidays to distract and it's usually so bleak and cold...and too far away from the hope of a peak at spring...I'll have to come back and look at your images for hope!

  7. Us too! My, Katie has quite a soft spot for you, as does her mama. Since yesterdays visit there's been lots of Christmas "brain storming" around here. We'll be back for our "tree" once we get through Haloween, and Thanksgiving. Take care and safe travels. xoxo
