Spring's a'comin...

I'm so excited, everywhere I look there are hints of spring. 

As I was showering yesterday I noticed that I wasn't alone...."hello little lady!"

We're outside more, even Floyd's getting more walks in.

Trash or treasure?

Found this little lamp at a antique store that was closing(in Magnolia).  The owner said it needed some TLC(a little gluing) and it would be good as new.  I don't know much about Alabaster but I'm guessing by the original tag it's a little pricy.  I paid $25 for a lamp that was originally marked $225.

  

Still looking for the perfect shade:)

Garden greens planted

After attending the Flower & Garden show I was inspired to get planting my new bed. 

I started by planting a few seeds but that wasn't enough of a fix so I was off to the nursery.
  

I found several different lettuces, swiss chard, and onions.  Stuck them in the ground and here it is.  

Now lets hope it doesn't freeze or snow.

     I love this antique stool my mom gave me, mostly because it's from her though.  She gave me it along with a roll top desk when I got engaged.  I treasure both.  That being said, it was time to ditch the butterfly embroidery on the seat (for now anyway).

It took me most of the day but I managed to knock out a little slip cover for the stool.  It's really a beginner job but it freshens it up:)
